STORY WALK AT GORE PLACE
Picture
Picture
Picture

Gore Place has partnered with the Coordinated Family and Community Engagement (CFCE)  grant-funded program administered by the Watertown public schools to re-introduce the Story Trail back to the property!

Moving from page to page, visitors can read a book from cover to cover while enjoying spending time outdoors! StoryWalks are a win-win for everyone. Families play outside together, having fun and creating memories. Children build school-readiness skills, families connect to and feel ownership of their community, and everyone experiences fresh air and physical movement!

Books chosen are dual language or also known as bi-lingual books (Spanish) and will coincide with the curriculum and units at CFCE, with a limited amount of take-home STEM activities available alongside the Story Trail for children to enjoy.

Directions:
Gore Place is located at 52 Gore Street in Waltham, Massachusetts just off Route 20. From I-90 (Mass Pike) take exit 17 to Watertown Square. Turn left onto Route 20 (Main Street). Travel 1~1/4 miles to Gore Street.

IMPORTANT COMMUNITY RESOURCES

Talking about the COVID 19 virus with young children
Loads of resources can be found here, from social stories to practical tips can be
accessed through this link or at the top of the page under resources.

WIC Program Services
The Watertown WIC program is open for business.  WIC continues to provide services to families during this difficult time.  Because we are concerned about the health and safety of families and staff, staff are working remotely.  All WIC appointments will be completed over the phone.  WIC staff will call you on the day of your appointment.  For questions, please call (857)-523-2797 and leave your name and number and we will return you call as soon as possible.

Belmont Helps
Belmont Helps is a volunteer group connecting community support and resources in response to COVID-19. We will try our best to accommodate needs- but please know there is no guarantee. We can also help those in neighboring towns when possible. We accept all volunteers who can help run errands, deliver food and supplies for porch drop-off. If you need help, ask.
