The Early Childhood Grant all are delivered under the auspices of the
Watertown Public Schools - Early Childhood Department.

The vision of Early Childhood Education in the Watertown Public Schools is to foster social, emotional,
and academic development among the town’s three to five year old children. Students will become compassionate, confident, and independent members of our school community through meaningful play and learning. These experiences will prepare students for success in their future education.

What I love about my job:
The best part of my job is being able to work with families as their child transitions into the Watertown Public Schools. Being the first interaction for most families it is important to be a supportive and friendly face. I love being able to make this transition a smooth and positive experience for the child and the family. As a bonus I get to go into classrooms and interacting with children and teachers.

What I love about my job: I love playing, talking and reading to children I visit. I really do. I hope I can spread that joy to the parents or caregiver. I believe a child develops to be happier, stronger and more ready for school the more people talk, read and play with him.
